Bible Personalities: Joseph
Even as a young man, Joseph was moral and honorable when those around him were not.
Will a young person immediately reap the rewards of living a godly life? Or do trials plague even the righteous?
Sometimes a disaster can turn out to be a blessing, especially if God is working out events. Trusting God proves itself one of the great lessons in life.
One might think that Joseph could not avoid troubles for long. But we could also note that Joseph could not stay away from blessings, either. For instance, Joseph started receiving blessings while he was imprisoned. Eventually, Joseph went from prisoner to second in command in the kingdom of Egypt!
It was God, through Joseph, who brought about reconciliation among his father and brothers. God used Joseph to save from severe famine his family, many thousands of Egyptians, as well as peoples of surrounding countries.
Through these twists and turns, God had not lost sight of Joseph or his family. God had determined to spread them far and wide on the earth.
Jesus is the ultimate fulfillment of Joseph's role as reconciler, restorer and the one sent ahead. Read more about Joseph’s inspiring life at:
